Seconds To Be As One

For poets, I am a beauty.
A goddess who blossoms the night;
Or a subject for sweet romance.
Neither of them defines me well.

I am nothing but a surface;
Of a dark, permanent shadow.
I am cold where darkness stood still
Light, in its absence, humors me.

I seem bright when I'm pearly blue
In the blackness, I ought to shimmer.
With millions of stars surrounding me,
I am nothing but a quiet rock.

Quiet without his brilliance,
Worthless without his dominance,
Meaningless without his presence,
Nothing without his light.

I am but a dark celestial;
A body who behaves at idle.
But when light starts to twinkle
On my rock, a star owns me.

A star in its center
He who illuminates everything
at the same time.
He who shimmers, tantalizing.

There he is, shining in its splendor;
Sitting on his royal throne.
Cheerfully, he smiles;
Hows and whys they contain.

Of how could this destiny,
Keeps us from the truth;
A truth that is paradoxically
Moving on the same orbit?

Of why God created a path,
little below it, little above it.
Our angels hold its irony.
We avoid our ways unintentionally.

Skies veiled this story;
Clouds confined this feeling;
Heavens witnessed this sorrow;
Universe contradicts this love.

For poets, I am a beauty.
A goddess who blossoms the night;
Or a subject for sweet romance.
Neither of them defines me well.

I am a celestial body,
surrounded by millions of light.
Out of these many thousand diamonds in the sky,
Only one owns me.

We always free the globe cheerfully,
'cause it's the way we're supposed to be.
He light the Earth with his sun rays.
I, light the night with my moon beams.

I look at the stars from time to time;
Every night, every day, I grow tired and sick.
For his presence, visible to my eye;
His distance, out of reach.

For our purpose holds a big responsibility
Thus, keeping us from being together.
Our union, they thought;
Is a great solstice of death.

Till heavens play a trick,
Till time refuses to tick,
I'll be waiting my blazing circle of light;
Till God is good enough.

Let these two bodies meet
After long billion years of waiting.
Giving us seconds to one;
Our paths will cross, my only star.
